Willy
Nyx watched Hex go, waiting a beat before turning and headed back towards the remains of what had once been a village.
He wandered quietly at first, poking around in the remains of buildings, and inspecting things he found discarded. There was a sadness here. Something broken. Lost. He could taste it in the air, like chalk and dust.
"Are you still here?" he called out. "You must be, I feel eyes on me. Come out. Come speak."

Willy nudged some bright pink bit of fruit his way.
"What are they like? Those who fell with you?" he asked.
no subject
"Boring. ...But nice, mostly," Nyx said. "Hex is interesting, Robin is fun, but most the others are dull," Nyx said, having a nibble.
no subject
Willy wrinkled his nose at that news. Dull. Too much here was dull.
Nyx was brilliant, though. And if this Hex and Robin were as interesting, perhaps he could have a few new playmates in his collection...
"I will come and meet them," he decided.
no subject
Nyx sort of liked having this all be his secret, and he frowned a bit.
"Why? You have all you need here."
no subject
"Hardly. I need many things. I do not have a cold wind machine," he said. "I do not have chocolate."
no subject
"Do I not sate you?" he asked, tilting his head and frowning slightly.
no subject
"Sated? I will never be sated," he replied. "There will always be new and interesting things. And I will have them, you see."
no subject
"Oh," Nyx said, Willy's words taking away some of the shine. He didn't like being part of a collection, he wanted to be a crown jewel.
Hex would never make him feel like he was anything less.
"I'm bored, I will leave now," he decided.
no subject
"Must you? I could cure your boredom," he offered.
"You could stay. They won't miss you yet, surely "
no subject
"They miss me always, because they know I am special," Nyx said adjusting his tunic with a little huff.
no subject
"Special?" Willy asked curiously.
"More special than the others?"
His gaze grew uncomfortably sharp.
"Why?"
no subject
"Because I am. I am the last of my kin, and I am a prince. I am special," Nyx insisted, as if he needed it to be true to be happy.
no subject
"That does make you special," he agreed, smiling with too many teeth.
Suddenly, a wind machine and chocolate were of the least possible interest.
no subject
Nyx puffed up with pride.
"Anyway, it is nearly lunch, I like to have my lunch at the bar. I will see you tomorrow maybe."
no subject
"I will see you tomorrow," Willy repeated, but there was no maybe.
He rarely left his village. Rarely left his collection. For this, though, for Nyx, he would hunt.
He would have him for his own.
