Hex and House

[tempting_the_fates]

It was exciting knowing Hex was on set, fun getting to watch him work. So the moment they both had a moment to themselves, Nyx went looking for him, finding him near the costume department where he had just gotten fresh scrubs.

"Look at you, wish you were my nurse," Nyx grinned as he made his way over. "You having a good time? Enjoying the set?"

"I'd be in," Hex nodded, his smile bright.

The set was called to attention so they couldn't plan beyond that before Hex found himself walking back and forth, over and over.

Nyx was still smiling, and gave Greg a playful pat on the chest.

"He's brilliant, yeah?" he asked. "Come on, come for a drink later. It'll be fun. It's been a long week, you deserve some downtime."

House snorted. "Look Nyx, more power to you, seriously, but it's not my idea of a good time to watch you and some guy make eyes at each other over beers."

Nyx looked confused, then frowned.

"I wasn't making eyes... Hex and I are friends. ...Like you and I are friends, right?"

He wasn't great with confrontation though, and shrugged. "If you don't want to hang out, don't bother. I'm gonna go have a smoke before they call me back on set," he decided, turning to slip out one of the side doors.

That was about the reaction House expected, which was fine. He hoped it didn't fuck things up between him and Nyx, but... he would seriously rather sit on rusty nails than watch Nyx and Hex flirt for an entire evening.

He went back to set and lingered in the back, watching the scene. At least Olivia wasn't chewing up the scenery. She was giving Hex appreciative glances in between takes though. House rolled his eyes.
