"You're the only person I know who could move to LA and somehow get paler," Olivia said.

She'd been perched on the counter beside him while he scrubbed off his makeup. Some of the crew didn't seem to like her, but truthfully, Nyx thought she was alright. Maybe a bit attention seeking, but who wasn't in this industry?

"What can I say, I'm a vampire," Nyx joked, drying his face.

"Yeah? Didn't know vampires bruised so easily," she said, pointing at a rather nasty one that was starting to bloom on his arm.

Nyx hadn't even noticed it, and frowned as he gave it a closer look. "I must have whacked my arm off something earlier," he said with a yawn.

"Are you sleeping at all?" she asked. "Jesus, Nyx, you seem permanently exhausted."

Nyx shook his head though, rubbing his arm a bit and then shrugging. "I swear, lately all I do is sleep. It's become my favorite pastime."

Olivia clicked her tongue thoughtfully, then pushed away whatever she'd been thinking with a laugh and a smile. "Yeah, well, if you're sick, keep it to yourself. I'm hosting a charity thing this weekend. Don't need your germs, thanks."

"I'm hurt," Nyx said, pretending to pout. "Thought we shared everything, Liv," he teased, leaning over and pretending to try and steal a kiss.

Olivia shrieked out a laugh, pushing him away and nearly falling into the sink. "Dickhead," she snorted, still laughing as she fixed her hair.

"Your dickhead though," Nyx grinned, walking away as she laughed again and flipped him off. On the way out the door he nearly walked right into House- Who was either on his way in, or on his way past. Nyx couldn't really tell. "Alright, Greg?" he asked.

"Maybe I like to take care of you," Nyx said softly, moving so he was half on top of him, and starting to gently rub his leg. "You matter to me."

House knew how the scar tissue must feel under his hands. It wa instinct to not let anyone touch him, but after a few seconds… he relaxed.

“Thank you,” he finally said, and then added quietly, “It really was worth it.”

"Good," he said softly, leaning over and kissing his cheek.

He worked his hand over the ache until it seemed like Greg might be doing better, then lay back down beside him.

"I'm glad I met you. Not just because I got the role or whatever, but- I'm glad I have you in my life. I don't know how much longer I would have stayed here if it wasn't for you, and the show. I wasn't really sure this was the place for me. ...It feels good though, being here, with you."

There was a long pause, and even House said, “I feel the same way. You’ve made things… more bearable. You’re important to me.”

Pretty sure I’m falling in love with you, actually.

"You're important to me too," Nyx smiled, settling in and yawning softly.

He was exhausted. Again.

"Are you tired already?" House asked gently, though he was both concerned and disappointed.

Nyx could hear the disappointment in his tone.

"No, I'm fine," he lied, forcing himself to sit up slightly. "I just need to eat something, probably."

“Do you feel lightheaded?” House asked as he sat up and looked down at him.

"No," Nyx assured him. "I just feel a little off lately, that's all. I told you, I'm not used to having to work this much. I used to sleep all day and maybe play a show at the end of the night, or crawl into the studio. Even the films I did were only a month or so of filming."

“Would you be wining to get some blood drawn tomorrow?” House asked. “I’ll go with you. Just to make sure you’re not anemic or something… if that’s it it would be so easy to correct and you’d feel so much better.”

Nyx rolled his eyes a little, then laughed. "Sure, fine, but I'm telling you it's nothing, alright?" he grinned, leaning over to kiss the other man's cheek.

"Let's order some food. Oh! Some wine too, yeah?"

House nodded, taking the promise and deciding not to say anything else about it until tomorrow morning.

He leaned over an picked up the phone on the bedside table. He had an idea for the kind of food Nyx liked, so he ordered a few things and a bottle wine as well.

When he hung up he said, "They said it will be about half an hour. What if we take a bath? I spotted a big tub in there, and a couple of nice fluffy robes."

"Sounds like bliss," Nyx grinned, stretching a bit, then getting up and offering Greg his hand. "That's what my place is missing, a nice big bath."

"I have a normal sized bathtub... it works okay enough for one, I guess. Helps my leg." House took his hand and got up, wincing only slightly. "If the show continues to go well I think I'll get a bigger place... a nice garden tub would be very nice."

"They ripped out my tub in my apartment, it's just a big shower," Nyx said. "Lease is up soon though, I guess I'll have to look for another place."

They walked naked into the bathroom, and House sat down on the edge of the expansive tub, and turned on the water. He held his hand underneath it, waiting for it to get warm before he closed the stopper.

"You should ask for more money if we renew for a second season," House said.

"You really think so?" Nyx asked. "I dunno, they might tell me to fuck off."

Do it,” house said. “Trust me.” There was a bottle of bath gel by the tub that he assumed as acceptable to use as bubble bath, so he poured some in and the room began to smell slightly of vanilla and lavender as the tub filled.

"Yeah?" Nyx asked, watching the bubbles form. "...Alright."

The tub filled relatively quickly, and when there was enough water for it to be comfortable, House stepped carefully inside and got all the way agains the back. "Come here," he said, and gestured for Nyx to get in and lay against him.

Nyx climbed in with him, sinking into the water and then settling in with his back against House.

"This is nice," he smiled, exhaling softly. "Yeah, I'd like a bath at my next place, I think. Something big, a proper soaking tub."

House wrapped his arms around Nyx's torso, and kissed his neck. "Yeah, me too. I make do, but there's definitely not room for two..."

"You can just come 'round mine if I get my raise," Nyx laughed, smiling at the kiss. "We can soak after long shoots."

"That sounds wonderful," murmured House. He slid his hands under the water down Nyx's sides, down his thighs.

"You hear I've got a new song out? An old friend asked me to record with him, Willy Silver. I think we're going to make a video soon," Nyx smiled, his own hands coming to rest on Greg's, moving with him.
