Hex
He'd been thinking he needed to go see John, but putting it off longer and longer... Too long, it turned out, as he hung with his head out the open window, being sick into the sea. It was still open as he sat crumpled on the floor, a cup of water beside him and cold sweat sitting on his skin.
He just needed a moment to pull himself together, a few spells to clean himself up, then he could go find John. He could get a quick fix to get him through another week or so. ...But how long could this really go on? John's magic was a bandage, not a cure.
He heard someone approaching the door, and his arms trembled as he tried to pull himself up off the floor.

Nyx rumbled louder, nuzzling at Hex's shoulder, nipping lightly at skin, like a cat who'd never learned to play nice.
"Then I will keep you," he decided, with sweet words that almost sounded like a threat somehow.

Hex was content to hold Nyx and pet him and kiss him. He was spent like he had never been. There was only kindness in his fingertips as he explored the shape of the fae.
Nyx was still and Hex thought maybe he'd drifted off. He stayed still, delighting in the weight of him.
