Nyx watched Hex go, waiting a beat before turning and headed back towards the remains of what had once been a village.

He wandered quietly at first, poking around in the remains of buildings, and inspecting things he found discarded. There was a sadness here. Something broken. Lost. He could taste it in the air, like chalk and dust.

"Are you still here?" he called out. "You must be, I feel eyes on me. Come out. Come speak."

Nyx didn't have any weapons, bar a rock he had sharpened and now kept in his pocket. He curled his fingers around it, then nodded.

"You go first, I will follow."

Willy went first, the walls illuminating as he passed. At the bottom, in the chamber with 4 passages, he waited for Nyx.

"This is the safe one," he said, gesturing to the right tunnel. "The rest end in death. Come, I will feed you," he said.

He walked into the darkness, and it swallowed him.

Nyx followed as close behind as he could, though Willy's strides were long, far longer than his own. His heart was racing in his chest, his body on high alert.

"Why down here?" he asked. "Why not above?"

Something brushed against his ankle, and he caught the back of Will's shirt with one hand as he moved a little faster.

"You cannot imagine how hot it will soon be. Underground remains cool. Livable," he explained.

They came to a door and Willy pushed, revealing a well lit room decorated with the most luxurious, plush fabrics and colours. Texture abounded. Many of the pieces of art and furniture seemed...not of this world. The flat was more posh than even the Ambassador's quarters on the station.

"Come in," he said, letting Nyx see.

It was lush, and Nyx relaxed a bit as he started to look around.

"Pretty," he said, touching things and examining what he could. Everything was so soft and warm, and Nyx immediately felt envious of it all.

"You enjoy fine things?" Willy asked, sauntered to a plush sofa to drop onto and sprawl.

"Very much," Nyx said, not shy about it at all. "Soft things, warm things, cozy things... I like a nest, I like to sleep. I like things that glitter as well. Things that sparkle."

"Me too," Willy agreed. "My bell gleams in the sunlight. That is why it is out there, rather than down here with me...and all the rest of my treasure."

"Treasure isn't very fun with no one to show it to or share it with," Nyx pointed out, purring as he settled into one of the chairs and curled up in it.

"I could show it to you," he offered lightly, as if it were going to be dull.

"I'm comfortable now though, and I thought you were going to feed me and show me what to hunt," Nyx said with a little yawn.

"I waaaas," he drawled as he studied Nyx. "But you look so nice. I think I will admire you before I feed you."

"I am pretty," Nyx agreed with a grin and a purr, stretching out a little. "You may admire," he decided.

And Willy did, for quite some time. Truly drinking in the sight of him. Admiring every different angle.

Eventually rising to come closer.

"Tell me the things you like to eat. How it feels, or tastes, perhaps. I doubt I will know your favourites."

Nyx let his own gaze roam over Willy, admiring him in return - Though he'd deny he was even looking if he was asked.

"I like pale meat, and fish, salty, warm..."

He wet his lips a little, but his mind was no longer focused on his belly.

The dark smirk curved his lips again.

"Join me in my kitchen," he said, then pivoted to walk through a curtain of crystal beads, beckoning Nyx to follow.

Nyx watched him go, then sat up and moved to follow.

"You have fish?" he asked. "What about chocolate?"

"I do not know chocolate," he replied.

The room lit up, a fire roaring up in a hearth.

"It's creamy, sweet. Humans have it," Nyx explained. "You can melt it on fruit. I like it."

"Bring me some," he demanded, gently enough to be a suggestion.

Then he began to open cupboard doors. An array of bites, some recognizable, some decadant and beautiful, some crisp, tart, light...

And meats. Fish, sweet and snow white that fell in light flakes. FIsh, pink and thick and a joy to chew. Birds, crispy roasted, three to a skewer. Cubes of flesh that all tasted better than the last.

Nyx watched, a bit overwhelmed by the amount of food. It made him twitchy, made him want to push something on the floor... But he was getting better at controlling those impulses.

"Too much," he said instead. "Too much to taste. I will get overwhelmed, and I can not linger long."

"Nooo, stay," he pleaded. "Eat your fill. Rest out of the heat. I know that even the nights are becomming unbearable."

The sharpness of his gaze was unsettling.

Predatory.

"Eat."

"Don't tell me what to do," Nyx huffed. "Hex will worry if I do not return before it's late. I will try one thing, then leave. When I see you next, there will be chocolate."
