Hannibal
It felt like someone was always watching him, watching how much he drank, if he ate, what he was on, what he was trying to get. They didn't understand though, when things started to get heavy, this was how he survived. A little buzz, a little pill... It made it easier to make it to tomorrow. People just didn't understand though, why run from reality when life was treating you so well?
The album was at number one, the new single was doing well. A tour was in the works, and most of the band was back together. Even he and Will were playing nice at the moment- He should have been thrilled, and yet...
He'd told them all he was meeting with his stylist, and though Hex had offered to come, Nyx had insisted he'd be bored out of his mind. It would only be a few hours, and he'd get a car back. More than enough time to make his way to Nocturne to see Hannibal. What he needed was a high that was a bit harder to detect, and that's exactly what the vampire had given him before. Now all he needed was to see if he could start getting it on a more regular bases.

Now all he needed was to see if he could start getting it on a more regular bases.

The receptionist at the Nocturne was trained to never heed any requests to see Hannibal, except for the rare exceptions that were explicitly stated by Mr. Lecter himself. Hannibal was very clear in this. He was not a commodity here and anyone who wished to see him would only be able if Hannibal approved of it beforehand.
Nyx was one of the exceptions. Hannibal had told the receptionist that if the superstar should ever visit the Nocturne again, he would be welcome and Hannibal would see him if he had the time.
Tonight he had all the time in the world and he was pleasantly surprised when he was called that Nyx was here to see him.
With a smile to himself, he accepted and told the receptionist to have him escorted to Hannibal's living room, where he and two glasses of red wine waited for him.

It was a strangely familiar dance, one they did at the palace all the time. Just because someone was home, didn't entitle you to an audience. He supposed it made sense, that in a way Hannibal was the king of his own domain.
Thanking his escort, he made his way over to Hannibal and took a seat, immediately reaching for the wine.
"Apologies for coming by unannounced," he said. "Making calls requires privacy, and I don't have much of that at the moment."
no subject
"I don't mind in the least," Hannibal assured him calmly, noting the haste with which Nyx took the wine. "It's a most pleasant surprise." He took another glass for himself. "Are you very closely monitored?"
no subject
"No- I mean, yes, but it's mostly my partners. They worry, you know? And with all the press I'm doing, and planning for the tour next year... I just feel like I don't get left alone much at the moment. I had to say I was seeing my stylist to even get out of the flat alone today," Nyx admitted. "It's just been a lot of stress, and- Well, I found myself thinking of the last time we met."
no subject
Hannibal grinned at that. "You want that feeling again?" And Hannibal would not deny that the fae's blood was appealing to him. "That hint of danger as well, I presume?"
no subject
Nyx nodded, sipping the wine, then drinking deeper from the glass.
"I was thinking, maybe, we could discuss setting up an ongoing arrangement," he added, trying to sound casual, rather than as desperate as he felt.
no subject
Oh, but the desperation was part of the charm, Hannibal found. "And what should happen during these regular meetings?" he inquired. "Are you just looking to be bitten?"
no subject
"I want everything," Nyx said, a bit too quick to reply. "I just mean... I could use a distraction. A good one."
no subject
Hannibal nodded. "I won't deny that I found our last meeting extremely pleasurable. You are quite delicious." He regarded the eager fae.
"What do you propose?"
no subject
"A meeting, every other week?" Nyx suggested, daring to be hopeful. "You can drink as much as you dare, and we can both indulge a bit. I'm sure you're a busy man, but... Well, it could be good for us both. Fae blood is invigorating, isn't it?"
And Nyx so desperately wanted to just switch off, indulge, and get a bit high without being judged for it.
no subject
Quite frankly, so did Hannibal. He was always composed and reserved and sex and blood - which were the indulgence they were speaking of - were ways to let go a bit. And with Nyx there was no need for pretending anything except lust. That was quite liberating, in a way.
"It will be good for us both," he agreed and didn't mind admitting. "Fae blood is beneficial in quite a few ways. Every other week, but not weekends. I think that will suit you as well?"
no subject
"Weekends are always booked," Nyx nodded. "Mid-week, maybe?" People would be less suspicious if he vanished for a bit on a Wednesday.
no subject
Hannibal nodded. "Wednesday's are usually quite slow. You'll liven up the evening."
He regarded Nyx carefully. "What a shame that you feel so tied... Surely a fae needs to be a free spirit?"
no subject
Nyx finished his wine, putting the glass down and then slumping a bit in his seat. His hair looked a bit wild, and Nyx himself was looking slightly gaunt. His eyes carried a darkness in them that wasn't always there, like something was haunting him, keeping him up a bit too late at night. He was restless, uneasy... Like a trapped animal, except there was no cage to be seen.
"I am free," he insisted, though he wasn't sure he believed it.
no subject
"Free to lie to your partner about wanting to get high?" Hannibal teased. He didn't truly care. But the idea of a wild fae in his bed was appealing.
no subject
"I just don't need them in my business," Nyx insisted, a bit defensive. "I still do as I please, when I please. I'm under no man's thumb."
no subject
"Good," Hannibal said, pleased. "Fae taste better when they're free."
no subject
"Is that true?" Nyx asked, genuinely curious how fae blood differed from human.
no subject
"It's sweet and dark, and a little wild," Hannibal didn't mind explaining. "And you're royalty, which makes it even richer."
no subject
Nyx nodded a bit, it sounded like Hannibal would get as much from this as he would.
"My brother used to warn me that vampires can't help but kill- You don't seem that way though, not at all," he noted. "You seem to have endless self control."
no subject
"Your brother is not unwise," Hannibal said. "Some vampires indulge in their darkest urges. Some cannot help it. Some forget they were once human. I have made my business with humans and vampires and pride myself on keeping both safe."
no subject
"Well, that's reassuring," Nyx said with a soft laugh. "Might be self-destructive, but I'm not suicidal. Not currently anyway," he added. It was hard to tell if he was joking.
no subject
"Nothing destructive about seeking pleasure, I would say," Hannibal said. "Speaking of. Would you like to continue our evening in the bedroom?"
no subject
"Yes," Nyx said, sounding embarrassingly eager again. He wanted that high, wanted that pleasure. He wanted Hannibal's teeth deep in his neck and their bodies tangled together like before.
no subject
Hannibal smiled and got up. Ever the gentleman, he offered his hand.
