"I'm in no rush," Nyx assured him. And really, if he was going to drink, he was reluctant to go home right away. Struggling with sobriety was something he'd rather keep to himself.

Wine sounded nearly as divine as another bite.

Hannibal poured them both a glass of wine and sauntered back to his desk.

He offered one to Nyx. "And how have you been?" He asked, politely.

"FIne. Great," Nyx said, settling back into a seat and drinking his wine like he'd been parched all day. "...Bored," he admitted after he swallowed.

Putting the glass down, he pushed his hair back with one hand and slouched a bit in his seat. "Everything is so bloody boring."

He felt a bit guilty saying it out loud. After all, he should be happy, shouldn't he? Hex was no longer interested in underground fights, he was safe now, home for good. Willy wasn't picking fights anymore, instead back to writing his own music. They spent time together often, and it no longer ended with one of them storming off... Things were good. Happy. Safe.

Boring.

"I hope that doesn't extend to our weekly meetings," Hannibal teased lightly.

"I wouldn't come here if I wasn't enjoying it. Getting bit is one of the final thrills I have left," Nyx said honestly. "I suppose I'm just wondering if it was such a good idea getting 'clean'. At least when I was high everything felt like a thrill."

"As the provider and beneficiary of those bites, I will not comment on getting clean," Hannibal teased. "I rather enjoy you when you're high."

"I much prefer me high myself," Nyx said honestly, offering a smile and a laugh- Though it didn't quite feel genuine. He could laugh about it all he liked, but there was a sadness there. Nyx loved being loved, but he was the last one to offer it to himself.

The melancholy wasn't allowed to linger though, banished in an instant as he made his way back to Hannibal's lap.
