He'd told his manager he wasn't sure the part was for him, that he didn't think he looked much like a doctor- And he didn't. He'd turned out to be a damned fine actor, good enough to leave music behind, but he still looked like a rock star with his long wild hair and those eternally tired eyes.

"Just go, see how it goes," his agent had urged. "This could be a breakout role for you in America."

So now he was here in some room with a dozen other actors he sort of recognized, slouched low in his seat as his eyes skimmed over them all. He was judging in silence, but definitely judging.

"Fingers crossed, wouldn't want to suddenly be out of work- And what am I without a pretty face, huh?" Nyx laughed.

“A lot of talent and a great ass?” House suggested.

[tempting_the_fates]

Nyx laughed at that, shaking his head.

"You're a laugh, doc, you know that?" he smiled. "This was fun, we should do it again sometime," he added, leaning in to kiss the man's cheek and give him a squeeze.

“Well if you’re cast I probably can’t compliment your ass anymore,” House pointed out as he fished for his keys in his pocket.

"At least not on set." Nyx laughed, starting to order himself an uber.

"You need a ride?" House asked when he saw him open up the app.

[tempting_the_fates]

"I'm on the other side of town, you don't want to go all that way," Nyx said, shaking his head. "Besides, don't want the studio to think you're playing favourites if we get seen together near mine."

[drfeelbad]

"Right, of course," House said. "Well, some other time. I mean, if you like bikes." He gestured to his motorcycle, which was parked nearby.

Nyx glanced over and raised a brow.

"I do like bikes. ...One more reason to come out with me again, hmm?" he suggested.

"Sure, another time then," House said with a little smile. Though he did think that if Nyx were cast he probably should be more careful, with the comments.

[tempting_the_fates]

"I'll see you, Doc," Nyx smiled, finishing up ordering a ride home and offering a small wave.
