Nyx + Willy
The wagon didn't look very large, but magic was deceptive that way. The horses had been fed and tethered for the night, still grazing near the camp as the sun went down. A fire nearby was cooking something, the soft glow showing off the colours of the painted wagon that had been parked nearby. It wasn't much to look at, with its tatty curtains and chipped paint, but inside was nice, with a plush bed that didn't seem like it should fit, and rich velvet bedding.
Nyx was sitting just a bit too close to the fire, a slice of veg charring on a stick over the flame, beside a pot of something filling and warm. Potato soup, most likely- Maybe with a bit of leek.
"Did you see that man before, the one that was headed into town? He had a nice watch. I'd like a watch, I think," the nymph said, even though he had no need to tell time, and never seemed to wear things that had pockets to hold a pocket watch.

"Do you desire it for the sound or because it was shiny?" he asked without looking up.
no subject
"Both," Nyx replied, turning his stick a little and admiring the charred bit of pepper as he removed it from the flame and blew on it. "I like the ticking, and the way the silver glints in sunlight. Pity it didn't have any stones in it. That would have been better."
He popped the bite into his mouth, chewing thoughtfully, then poking the flames a bit with his stick. Though that only entertained him a moment. The nymph was restless tonight, and it showed.
"We should get ourselves something sweet tomorrow," he decided, getting up and moving to sit beside Will. "Bread and honey. Milk, maybe," he added, resting his chin on Will's shoulder and deliberately getting a little in the other fae's way.
no subject
"Have you anything to trade for bread and honey and milk?" Willy asked, amused enough by the manic little one that he turned his attention away from the strings.
"If you say the coin in my pouch, I will tickle you," he cautioned, barely containing a smile.
no subject
"I have plenty," Nyx purred, leaning back to put himself on display a little. "And if that doesn't work, there's always the coin in other people's purses..."
no subject
Willy looked him up and down, admiring him in the obvious way he knew Nyx enjoyed.
"If that's on offer...why not cake?" he asked.
no subject
"Maybe that too," The nymph grinned, resting back a bit, then sitting up again. "Maybe I'll empty the bakery."
no subject
Willy smiled warmly and twisted to see him better.
"And you could," he assured him.
"As you wish. Tomorrow when the sun rises we will fill you with sweets and find you love," he promised.
no subject
"You're all the sugar I need," the nymph said, nuzzling at Willy's neck, then giving him a playful nip.
"Delicious," he purred. "We should still have our dinner though."
no subject
Willy purred, a low rumble of pleasure at the warmth of Nyx's lips.
"Alright," he agreed. "What more do you want? I'll feed you well."
no subject
"I made soup," Nyx said, nodding at the pot. "Potato and leek. You like that one, don't you?"
He gave Will a quick kiss on the cheek, then got up to check the soup was ready.
no subject
"You made soup?" Willy replied, not only lighting up, but also getting up.
It was one of his favourites, and the reason he would say he kept Nyx around if anyone asked.
"We shall feast tonight," he smiled. "I have bread and butter put away in the larder."
no subject
"No cake though," Nyx said, pretending to sulk. Still, he joined Willy by the fire so they could enjoy some soup and bread.
"Cold tonight," he complained. "Should be warmer by now, don't you think?"
no subject
"By now? Yes. Don't be fooled, soon we will be sleeping bare, begging for a breeze," he smiled.
no subject
"I like that though, bare, under the stars, together," the nymph purred happily.
no subject
He couldn't deny that he liked it as well, though he did have an appreciation for a decent bed.
"would you prefer bare under stars, or bare beneath furs and silks?" he asked as he produced the bread and butter to have with the soup. "I think I would choose furs."
no subject
"I want to lay wherever you lay," Nyx said simply, taking some bread and dipping it in his soup.
no subject
"Iiiii...want to lay in a fine bed with linen sheets and down pillows. With silk draperies to close us in. Like at a palace," he mused, enjoying his own dinner.
no subject
Nyx tried to not look hurt when Will didn't seem bothered if he was there or not, humming and returning his attention to his meal.
"Maybe tomorrow I'll go into town by myself."
no subject
"I doubt our bed is in the next town," he sighed. "The king never stops when he travels north so there will be no finery for us."
He took a big bite and savoured it.
"No palace bed could warm me like your cooking," he decided.
no subject
Nyx glanced over, then back down at his soup. "It's just soup," he said quietly.
no subject
"It is," he agreed with a nod. 'But your cooking is better than any conjuring. I can tell the difference."
no subject
Nyx looked at him a moment, then shrugged.
"You look after me, you deserve to be fed," he said quietly, almost sounding shy about it.
no subject
"You are too kind, Nyx," Willy said gently, setting his bowl down. "You owe me nothing...though I appreciate everything."
no subject
"I do owe you," Nyx assured him. "I'm reckless, without you I'd be dead or in a dungeon somewhere."
no subject
"Do you think so?" he asked. "Without me, perhaps you might return to the homelands," he suggested.
